Find rehabs and addiction treatment in Arizona
Arizona is home to many of the best and most exclusive private drug and alcohol rehabs in the United States. However, no one in Arizona should suffer from addiction for lack of treatment options. There are several low and no-cost rehab programs and government grants available for the uninsured and underinsured.
Alcohol dependence or abuse is still the most common reason why people seek addiction treatment in Arizona. However, due to an alarming rate of overdose deaths, Arizona is increasing resources available to deal with opioid addiction and reduce opioid overdoses. More than two people die every day from opioid overdoses in Arizona.
If you have no health insurance or other ways to pay for the cost of treatment, state-funded addiction treatment and long-term recovery support services are available through Medicaid and a number of federal grants including the Substance Abuse Block Grant (SABG), and the Screening, Brief, Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) grant.
Funding is commonly made available by priority populations, established by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA). This includes the following populations in order of priority: (1) pregnant women/teenagers who use drugs by injection; (2) pregnant women/teenagers who use substances; (3) anyone who uses drugs by injection; (4) substance-using women/teenagers with dependent children and their families, including women who are attempting to regain custody of their children; and (5) everyone else suffering from addiction, regardless of gender or route of use.
All Arizona health care plans are mandated to offer insurance parity. Insurance parity is defined as mandating insurance providers to treat mental health and substance abuse conditions as equal to physical conditions and diseases.
In addition to private luxury facilities, we also list plenty of state-funded facilities and treatment services offering affordable care to those with limited means, and without insurance. For government assistance, please contact Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family on 602.542.4043 or visit their website for more consumer information.
